And finally, to wrap June up, the last model of the month. One of my Patrons, Tony, suggested this guy and as I was already going through a theme with the samurai animal gang, I thought it would be a good fit.
Meet HuMa, Tony's Yakfolk Monk. I really fell in love with this character after Tony told me some more about him. In short, he took a vow to live a non-violent life at the monastry. When a dragonborn princess sought help after her kingdom was destroyed, HuMa decided to take care of her. However, a few days later, raiders found the princess and took the monks by surprise, killing them in the process. HuMa tried to protect the princess with non-violent forms of defense but failed. Both he and the princess were taken prisoner. After these shameful events, HuMa vowed to never speak again and to this day only communicates through hand signals and gutteral throat singing.
I wanted to capture him after all the events happened, when HuMa was freed from his captors and ready to take on some enemies. I went along with the idea of him looking like a big, imposing brute with his longbow at ready, moments before he would lower his weapon and give you a soft smile after he realized you weren't a threat.
