Hey guys!
It's here, the first model for June! And a self chosen subject for that matter ;) It felt quite refreshing after all the models made for polls and prizes, even though I really enjoyed those as well. It's good to experiment with your own creativity ever now and then.
Anyway, meet the Green Sea Turtle Dragon! I was kind of in doubt whether I should have gone full dragon on him, but I thought it would be more interesting to keep a lot of realistic features. I was inspired by a bunch of animals, first and foremost the green sea turtle of course, but also the saltwater crocodile, the komodo dragon and the marine iguana. I wanted to show the more dragony part of him on his flippers, with claws and "wings" like a wyvern. He uses those claws to drag himself onto rocky shores to find food.
As for print specifications, I made this boy BIG and suitable for large scale FDM printing. You can still scale him down by 50% or so if you've got an FDM printer, maybe even to 25% if you're bold (or have your 0.2 nozzle installed), but I wouldn't go below that. As for resin users, he should print fine at a small scale for you guys. The question is, do you want that though, haha.
I hope you like him! I think he may be one of my favorite models so far, since I've got a soft spot for turtles. As always, you can find his STL file in model links master post, which is pinned for Patrons.
I'll see you with the next model!
