The idea of the hedgehog boy is almost as old as Lydia's concept. "If there is a fluffy girl, there may be a spiky boy," I thought. As Lydia's world developed in my head, so did his story.
The Sullivan family wasn't perfect, but they were happy. When the panic caused by the alien infection spread, they were surviving together. Then - tragedy. A monster attacked and infected every member of the family except for Edith, Frank's mother. Twisted bodies of her loved ones attacked her, and in self-defense, Edith killed almost everyone. When the crying woman pointed her gun at the last monster, his terrified eyes told her that despite all the changes, he was still Frank, her son. The remnants of the Sullivan family continued their journey to safety, no longer happy, but still alive.
