He claims he saw the Fall, and that he gazed into the eyes of Slaanesh before going into the Webway. Nobody in the entire satellite-realm is older than him and nobody can match his melee skills. Despite this, ten thousand years of experience, and the elite Trueborn army, he's at his low. At the end of the rebellion when other Kabals united to overthrow him he was winning. When he was ready to strike the final blow his forces was almost destroyed by a surprise attack of several Kabals loyal to the Kabal of the Black Heart. When the battle was over Shatinodesh lost most of his power and was forced to flee to the edge of his realm. To this day, several centuries later, he still watches the citadels raising over the ruins of his palace, gaining strength, and planning his vengeance.
