That part of 'why did I promise to do this for 2 months?' > rofl! Hear myself. Funny thing is I am originally a DE guy (Cinnamon mostly, a little Xfce). But after spending now almost 3 years in either openbox/dk/bspwm/sway or in KDE (where kwin takes care of workspaces etc) I cannot really go back anymore, and I don't want to either. It's the automation of what application opens on what ws that is absolutely a must for me. Even Gnome with a zillion of extensions doesn't do that.
