A Word About Some Podcast Changes
Added 2022-01-27 23:16:21 +0000 UTCAt the end of today's podcast I made an announcement that will have some effects on you, my awesome patrons.
Basically, what's going on is that on YouTube, the edited video version of the podcast will, at least for now, not be posted. The Live stream will stay up.
I'm doing this because YouTube does not like me uploading a video that is over an hour long. But they don't penalize a channel when there is a live stream that is that long.
So here's a few things that will change for you guys. I said in the podcast that you won't be getting the video podcast early. I've changed my mind on that. I will post the edited video here on Thursday nights, just like always. But they will be Patreon exclusive, at least for now. You will also get early access to the podcast audio.
I will likely make the video of the podcast available to all patron levels, so that everyone who sends me money can get it.
I'm considering some alternatives to this, so this is just a trial. I want to see how leaving the live stream up affects the numbers. It's likely that I may need to change other things, but we'll see. If you have suggestions, let me know.
If you're outraged by these changes, also let me know. My mind can be changed. As I said, this is mostly an experiment to see if YouTube likes this way better.
