Kensington Expert

So I've been using a trackball now for a few months, but the Logitech one that I got, is kinda trash. The ball slows down all the time for no reason. So I decided to try another one. Using a rec from DT, I bought the Kensington Expert.

First off, it's huge. Way bigger than I was expecting. Also, the wrist rest is shit, like utter garbage. Cheap and smaller than it should be.

That would be fine if it didn't suck as a trackball. Now, you're never going to get the accuracy with a trackball than you will with a regular mouse. I get that. But this is so bad it is unusable. The Logitech one I had was great accuracy. If it didn't slow down or become scratchy based on the weather (no lie), I'd still use it. But this one, I just can't point at anything accurately. Even doing something like clicking on a tab in Firefox takes huge effort.

Add on top of that, it's uncomfortable AF, and I just can't use it. I thought maybe if I got used to it, it'd be okay. Moving from a thumb tracker to a finger tracker needs effort, but after three or four days, it's just not working.

So I guess back to the drawing board. I want a trackball, but this one just isn't it. If you have recs, let me know.

Hope everyone has a great week. Also I should get some more Early Access stuff up this week, as you can tell, I'm  trying to do better.

Yeah, I'll give that a try when I have some money. I saw that on Craft Computing.

You could look at the elecom options. They work

I'm not sure what it is. It's the one with the little metal plate on the bottom that lets you tilt it with magnets.

Were you using the Logitech M570 before? I've been enjoying that one but haven't played lots of FPS games on it.
