Qutebrowser is Awesome
Added 2021-08-23 14:58:35 +0000 UTCI seem to be on the road to trying out all of the browsers. I've switched to qutebrowser as of last night. So far? I'm loving it.
The ability to pop out a youtube video into an mpv player is awesome. Also gets past the horrible adblocking that qutebrowser has (it doesn't work on Youtube at all).
I also love the fact that you can use vim bindings in Google Docs. It's soooooooooo good. It's the kind of thing that will make me stick around because I'd miss it too much if I moved back to Firefox.
I will say that there are some hiccups, however. Tumblr doesn't work at all. For whatever reason, the keybindings just stop working. That's not a deal breaker as I only go to tumblr once a day. But it's still annoying. I'm sure I'll find some other sites that just have a hard time working as I use it more.
As I said, I like it a lot right now. It's only been a day, but I think that this could be a browser I use for a long time. Though I expect I'll have to supplement it with Firefox.
