As a millennial I do wonder if it's like how they say wheat domesticated humans during the agricultural revolution, are Zoomers raised by technology in that way? 'Vril' comes from Edward Bullwer-Lyton's _The Coming Race_ (from the 1870s), a book which first Theosophists and then later some of the more mystically inclined Nazis were obsessed with due to its themes about hierarchies of races and racial "superpowers". In the book, Vril was a mystical type of energy that those with sufficiently developed skills (and genetics) could wield to kill, heal, etc. The name was probably meant to suggest "viril". From the context in which it was dropped in the episode by jreg it appears to have become slang for male lust directed at hot online girls.

To be honest I do personally find his writing to be more like pamphlets reflecting the surface level of the sort of stuff your channel has already covered, I’m a subscriber of yours after finding that he doesn’t do much beyond pointing the way to your kind of theory proper — I threw out his name in a more hyperbolic tongue in cheek kind of way but neglected that wouldn’t come across. But I do think a conversation where you guys interrogate his perspective could be interesting

Not super up to speed but I remember politigram* and the post-left quite well, and in a lot of material/conversation he touches on a lot of similar observations — though from my limited understanding he has a less “accellerationist” perspective than jreg, more of a tendency to look for value to retain within existing status quos? Mainly I just thought of him because he seems to begin his research from similar sorts of taxonomies of signs?
