2025-04-22 16:34:28 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure Dark Star was Carpenter's first flick. So low budget that he had a beach ball play an alien. New to patron so I'm just getting into the weeds here. On multiple Carpenter dvd commentaries he jokes that a number of his movies hit with vhs release in the the rental era.
