Not sure how familiar you are with ComfyUI and the various nodes but I try to use consistent language in my prompts and I utilize IPAdapter/PuLID nodes with a consistent input images to try to keep some consistency. Lastly, a lot of trial and error. For every 1 image that makes it into the game, I probably have ~100 that failed my quality checks.
