Every year there are reports of yachts being attacked and boarded by pirates in this area. We know that piracy is a real threat in this coast but we most sail through these dangerous waters as we need to move on to reach the Dutch Islands, just to realise it’s Terrifying!

2023-10-27 06:12:49 +0000 UTCHey hey lovely peeps !! : ) Thank Neptune a 60ft Cat hit you and not a supertanker with nobody 'on watch' Love you guys Praying SV Cuba is being assessed OK and you'll have good news for us all xx Invest in a few Parachute Flares and some good extra General extra emergency flares so you have chance to see the assailants get their position and get on the radio give your position and that you're being attacked then if they are not carrying arms hit them with distress flares also make sure you have a good stout sword as it is quite legal to defend a vessel from uninvited parties trying to board against the Captains orders !!! Aim Flares at where the fuel tanks are on the Pirates vessel and do not lend them your Fire Extinguisher Love you guys ..you meet more and more cool Sailors than Pirates send Pirates to Davey Jones and the Kraken to sort out. I've sent a few $ towards calming refreshments lol and good useful extra flares Peace & Love Full sails and kindly seas S/B Ch. 16
