Hi Dave, we are just imagining mounting a car radiator on deck haha. You think if installed properly, Beneteau might design a chrome grill for it? π.... might also be great for BBQing! .... yes it looks like we might have reduced flow on the coolant side of the heat exchanger. We checked the raw water side before and it was fine but the coolant side could be restricted. We are running some more tests at the moment but we are pretty certain it is not the head gasket that's giving us the troubles - wohooo! Once we are a little more certain we will upload another update. Lotsa ππ𧑠and big hugs from us both!

2023-09-08 19:42:59 +0000 UTCThe heat exchanger is a meant to separate the raw water from your engine cooling system for reasons of motor longevity, but because you are transferring heat from one set of tubes to another, there is an inefficiency built in. You could also mount an automobile radiator with a fan somewhere on deck and forget the sea water altogether.. ;-) just kidding. Happy that you found the blockage.

2023-09-03 19:22:01 +0000 UTCYou would want to flush the block immediately afterward. Many power boats circa 1960's - 80's and all outboard motors ran raw sea water, and simply flushed after each use, these boats ran fine for years.
