Raising the bar….
Added 2022-12-17 13:47:08 +0000 UTCAs I am writing this post, we are almost ready for our biggest leap yet. So far, we did not even have the time to let sink in what this really means.
It’s been quite a rush making it to Cape Verde on time and when we arrived, we dove right into the preparation to spend up to a month at sea. It’s a crazy thought - a month without seeing land…
Yet as a sailing nomad, it is easy for some things to become almost normal. The prospect of crossing an ocean is one of them. For the past 3 years, we have been looking forward to this challenge, and leading up to this moment over 15.000 NM and 10 countries now lie behind us.
We went from complete novices to sailing through the entire Mediterranean and no we are here in West Africa.
With each new destination reached, we got more adventurous, and overcoming those enormous distances and challenges, has slowly become part of our lives.
It’s been a wild ride and it is about to get even wilder!

Oh wow a snowstorm!! Brr - I feel like drawing a hot bath just thinking about it! I hope it has passed by now though or otherwise its a good excuse to have a cup of hot wine 😬🥶🥶 .
