It's Getting Serious!

Until it's been a lot of preparation but nothing hits home like getting staples to past for half a lifetime!
Luckily we found a stash of beans, chickpeas and lentils hidden in the bilde that we had carried for the past few years. Its been there since we first left Gibraltar. ๐คฃ
Brilliant news because these things can be pricey here in Cape Verde.
Tbh until now it all felt pretty surreal that we have actually made it this far - all the way to West Africa. And in just a few days we will leave land behind for this epic trip.
As I am here stuffing food in every possible corner of the boat it's slowly sinking in that this is actually happening!
It's such a mixture of excitement, happiness and also I am also a little scared!
But we are prepared and as soon as the weather allows us we will hoist those sails again.
Just 3 years from only where having set on a sailboat a Cople of times & 0 sailing experience to crossing the big blue,. It will ony be Kiki, me and our furry family on the big ocean but in our hearts and thoughts we are taking you with us every mile we complete! ๐งก๐งก๐งก
Because you believe we can do this it gives us the confidence to press on and share this adventure with you!

We think probably in 4-5 days we will cast the lines and go. Meaning we will very likely be in the middle of the Atlantic during Xmas and New Years. It will be strange but also an experience we will never forget! The closer we get to lifting the anchor the more tingly I am getting all over. ๐ฒ We cannot wait to share it all with you! ๐๐
