We were only just thinking about creating videos of our travels when Enrique took this shot of me. It was one of the first times we sailed past the 12-nautical mile limit, all by ourselves. The coast of Spain slowly faded into the horizon.
12 Nautical Miles is the official limit of any country’s border and in a nutshell that means no one can tell you anymore to turn that music down or, well in this case to cover up haha.
Growing up in Germany, I always felt that enjoying the outside without any “restrictions” can be something very freeing. Over there, in cold Germany it is actually – don’t laugh - a pretty cultural thing not to wear anything. 😅
We call it “Freie Körperkultur” – free body culture. There are many places where people are actually allowed to be “cultural”.
Yet, this is not the case in every country. And therefore, I must say, choosing this lifestyle, in a sense allowed me to become a more cultural person indeed. 😉
And why not? After all, this far out at sea no one can complain or tell me to change my way.
Apart from the captain of course, but so far, I haven’t heard him protest!
