December Poll and Update

Hoping all are having a pleasant holiday season so far. And if not, at least we've got a new year coming up too. Last month's poll for a gift related tale saw 'The gift of the simple life' winning so I will try to put out a prompt tale for everyone to enjoy.
As for next month's poll, we'll be deciding the animals in question for the following story:
Fairy Tails - Two friends on a scenic nature hike happen a group of faeries that, while friendly to begin with, start having some fun with the two. Eventually changing both in separate animals fitting of the woodland setting. For the poll, I'll be taking the top TWO options for votes so feel free to vote for as many species below as strike your fancy.
