CYOA News and Poll

Hello everyone! Hope your Octobers are going well!

So as supporters in my Kate's Adventurer tier know, the current Dr Daring series is coming to an end. With that comes the choice of what I'll be doing to follow that up. Rather than simply doing another Dr Daring- though that will be a choice- I've assembled a few ideas that could be used to be the starting point for a new adventure. You'll find them below and then you'll have the option to vote for whichever stories you like most. So yes, you can vote for multiple options. ^^

This poll is open to all of my Patrons however the series itself, like Daring, will be exclusive content for higher tiers. But also like with Dr Daring, bidding for the slots in the story will be available to everyone. I'll be having a bid system for each of the available slots. similar to last time. Each of the stories should allow for 7-8 people at least with some allowing for up to 12 potentially. Once the story is set I'll narrow down the details so when Daring ends we pick right up with the new one.

As a final note before I provide quick synopsis for each story idea, that come the new year I am planning an additional, bi-monthly CYOA story that will be a Patron exclusive. All tiers will be able to read and vote for what happens in each new chapter. However in order to nominate characters for the story, you'll have to be an Adventurer or above so still some benefits for those supporting at a higher tier. More on this leading into the new year. ^^

Now below are the brief descriptions of the stories for the main new series. Titles are subject to change and the premises will be expanded upon once I know what people prefer. Taking advice from last year, some options are less forced and feature non-permanent changes.

-Dr Daring 2 - Effectively we see another running of the experiment with new characters and different scenarios.

-Circe's Gamble- Gameshow featuring willing contestants who are trying to be the last one standing. Set on an island, there are challenges, competitions, and traps at play where losing results in being transformed. Winner gets the money, losers get changed on television. Changes are (in most cases) non-permanent.

-A Fine Adventure - Set in token fantasy setting, a group of adventurers are paid to go seek out and killed a vile Sorceress whose been using her transformative magic to disrupt the lands. Group must get to her magnificent castle complex and stop her. Unwilling changes, some perm/non-perm. 

-Playing the Game - Group of friends and strangers get pulled into the fantasy world of a Jumanji-esque game where the goal is simple: find the way through shifting game world and to a ship that leads them out. If they don't, they'll be joining the game world on a more permanent basis.

-Adapted Survival - Set on a massive starship making the long, generation spanning journey to terraform a new planet light years away, a group of strangers are woken from their deep sleep to find something has gone very wrong. Instead of waking up in orbit the ship is still traveling through space, systems are malfunctioning, there are wild animals on the loose, and entire sections of ship appear taken over by vastly different climate types. Bio and chemical agents are at play and can cause infected to adapt, against their will, to survive. Often into animals. The group's goal is to find out what's going on and fix it if it they can. Not helping is the fact they weren't the first ones to wake up either. Permanent changes here.

I hope some of those ideas intrigue people and I have some interesting ideas on how to tell the stories this time having learned from the last run. Again, feel free to vote for however many stories you'd like to see. ^^
