May Painting Contest
Added 2023-05-05 18:18:52 +0000 UTCContest Categories: The contest is split up into 4 categories, each with its own submission criteria, and each contestant may pick only one category:
- Legendary - Paint this month's legendary model
- Solo - Paint one single model from this month's release
- Unit - Paint a unit of 5 small or 3 large models from this month's release.
- Army (Blessed Sisters Only) - Send us a picture of your full army. Each army must have at least 30 models from OPR, and must include at least 1 hero model.
Rules: To participate, pick one category, and share a high resolution picture in square format via the Dropbox link below (leave a margin on the sides for re-sizing). Only one picture may be submitted, and you must use your Patreon username as the file name, or the submission will be discarded!

Not Allowed: Welcome Pack Minis, Loyalty Rewards, Terrain, Game Aids
The miniatures should be painted by you, no re-sizing over 5% is allowed, and only minor modifications are acceptable. By entering the contest you give OPR permission to share the pictures on our website and social media.
Prize: The community will vote for the best submissions, and the top 3 of each category will get Two special Reward Minis, plus a special 75% Store Discount. As a bonus, one other random participant from each category will also get the special store discount!

Note: The special Reward Minis are not available for sale for the time being, but every few months we will swap them out with new ones, and the current ones will then be released via MMF for purchase.

Iβm a little bit shattered, Iβve been printing and painting flat out, (my little anycubic photon ultra will need a holiday after this), I wanted to challenge myself with the Legendary model, unfortunately Iβm gonna fall just short, as I wonβt have the base done in time. Im am however wondering if I could A)Submit without the base or B) just share my finished work with you in a day or two even If I canβt be considered for the painting contest, Iβm pretty proud of my effort and have never painted in a competition before. Love your work!

2023-05-08 12:40:53 +0000 UTCOPR minis are generally quite well supported these days. There's exceptions here and there but I just print them as they are. I still sand afterwards to clean them up.

2023-05-07 06:00:06 +0000 UTCI wish for reviews like this one every file on MMF. I never trust pre-supports from anyone any more. I spend hours supporting and then sanding STLs. I suppose sculptors don't print them before releasing them due to dead-lines. Some sculpts on MMF are so detailed and so poorly supported, I think they never used a 3D resin printer and they think they are going to design video games one day. I wish we could share our own supported files without pissing anyone off and losing accounts. We could all save some resin $$ and time cleaning vats and replacing FEP. - End Rant

2023-05-06 17:44:48 +0000 UTCJust printed the captains on horses and want to thank the designers for making the little straps hanging off the horses thicker so they don't break when pulling off supports. The Sister Fanatics had supports that were too thin and mostly ripped off when you looked at them funny, but these ones so far are thick enough not to break. Thank you! Though I am nervous about the firing mechanism on those revolvers - it looks like it will break 100% if I accidentally touch it.
