Army Forge Studio - Custom Army Creator App

Today we're happy to announce that our new custom army creator app is live, replacing the old outdated PDFs and online point calculator.

The tool is still very much in development, with more features being added over time, but it's ready for you to play around with.

We're doing a soft launch to gather feedback and spot bugs, and we ask you to please provide your feedback via this form (app-related messages on Patreon will be ignored): https://forms.gle/hvBHdB8vtHxJHk8W9

To use the app, you first need to create an Army Forge account, and then you will get the option to connect your Patreon account with your Army Forge account.

Please note that we're currently experiencing a bug with the Patreon API, which is causing users to get an error when they try to log in. We've found that trying multiple times (sometimes 3+ tries) eventually gets it to work, so please do that.

The app works best on Google Chrome, and we've seen a few users experience issues on Firefox and Safari. Note that the app is designed for desktop, and whilst it opens and functions on mobile, not all features will work correctly.

IMPORTANT: For legal reasons, all user-generated content will currently be deleted within 60 minutes of last modification. Feel free to play around with the tool, but keep in mind that your content will be permanently deleted, without the ability to recover it. As soon as all the legal requirements have been met, we will update the tool accordingly.

AoF: Quest - New Version Available

It's been quite a while since we've provided any updates for AoF: Quest, but that doesn't mean that we're not still working on the game.

As you may remember, the last release was already a big overhaul to the game, and after gathering feedback from fans and some additional playtesting, we have a new, overhauled version ready for you!

Whilst the last update was a big step forward for the game, it also added so many things to the game that the whole experience started getting too convoluted, and generally we felt that the game wasn't quite polished enough yet.

The latest version we're releasing has been a huge step toward further streamlining the game, making it run faster and smoother, providing more guidance for players, and with an emphasis on player customization of the game play.

Here's an overview of the major changes:

• AI enemies now only activate after all heroes
• Heroes get 1 action + 1 free special action per activation
• Removed the Spd stat and aligned speeds with our other games
• Heroes now go into a "last stand" before being killed, so other heroes can save them
• AI activations have been streamlined, and sometimes are fully skipped
• Enemy minions now come in groups of 3 models that activate as a unit
• Unarmed heroes now always have an A1 melee attack
• Level cap has been raised from 8 to 15
• Added rules for Wizard heroes
• Removed unnecessary quest setup steps
• Secondary objectives are now set up after the primary objectives have been completed
• Streamlined search tokens and their loot
• Heavily streamlined enemy deployment
• Reinforcement spawns are now less predictable
• Added a new Optional Hazards page for time, weather, alertness and random events

There are many small changes everywhere that we can't list them all in this post, and we've highlighted the biggest changes in the rulebooks, but we highly recommend that you re-read all the rules when testing it out so that you don't miss anything.

Mission Packs - New Missions

Here's the 8 missions you're getting this month:

2D Print - New Saurians Minis + New War Daemons Minis

We've got some new paper miniature packs for you to enjoy, with the Saurians Set #4 and the War Daemons Set #1.

These sets feature a ton of minis with front and back views in two different color schemes, as well as black & white. They also include black border versions of the minis, plus VTT tokens to play online.

Make sure to download the PSDs before the end of the month, as they aren’t sent out via WGV/DTRPG, and are not stored anywhere for future access.

3D Print - New Previews

At the top you'll see previews of some of the models that will be released in May, with the new Human Empire Infantrymen leading the line showing off some of the many options this unit will have when building them. Following them are the Blessed Sisters Destroyer Superior and the Destroyer Sisters featuring heavy armor, powerful melee weapons, and big guns.

Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models, and not the final versions of the models.
