Hi Everyone!

I filmed a whole series of Youtube videos earlier this year and realized it was going to take me about 100 years of editing before I finally got through them. This was when I realized I would need to find a better way to do my camera guitar system. I managed to edit this first episode the series before I decided to work on a better guitar camera system. The ending is pretty abrupt because I was planning to move on to the next video, but the next video never happened.

Anyway, I thought this would help reinforce some of the concepts in the Major Triads lessons AND be a nice reminder that I've got more videos like this coming soon. I hope you enjoy it.

Feel free to post questions or comments here or on the community forum post for this lesson.

I can't believe how EASY I'm getting this all down! You are an amazing teacher! I feel like I'm almost going through these lessons almost too fast! But I'm understanding it so well that I'm ready for next lesson that fast. Though I think I'll hang out here a minute and practice major and minor triads all across the fretboard. As I said in a post in the major triad lessons, what a great way to familiarize one's self with where the notes are on the fretboard! Thank you so much!

The dot stuff absolutely helps clarify stuff! Just an FYI. Big fan of the dots.

I disagree. Scott seems to enjoy doing his Patreon courses/community. I feel the Youtube videos are more demanding and require a lot of editing. But that's just my feeling :)

Nice little bonus. Thanks!

You asked what we think: So, it seems that you were happier and funnier and having more fun on youtube than here on Patreon. Here is more "Opa" style! Why? Someone told you to stop saying "bullshit" because the kids were around? 🀨 You always say to us to have fun! You should also have!

Are there more than those 3 voicings? So I can't do C# E A?

I signed up for Patreon just as a way of say thank you for your great YouTube videos. I’ve been just a strummer for 40 years and you are taking me wonderful places I’ve never been before

In some ways, I teach art and animation and I find that demonstrations that are live (like your real guitar set-up (red squire) are more efficient and time effective for both student and teacher. I spent about 4 hours today preparing and putting together a lesson that if I had my students in front of me (instead of remotely) I could have covered the material in about 1/4 the time. I also liken your two techniques to my world... the video method of transposing the dots onto the video is like stop-motion animation where every movement is painstakingly addressed whereas your unique and highly creative solution of using the red Squire bolted up to computer programmed video is more like puppetry in that it's live and you are "on the go".

Scott, I totally get the time element from your point of view and trying to teach guitar (specifically music theory ON guitar). This video is informative and always helpful. As a new student to music, I find I need to keep going back over and over stuff... then there is the practicing part.

Love it! This clear edit and presentation style got me here :) Thanks
