The Climate Town Phone Line Has Arrived

Our goal was 5,000 paid patrons. We got to 4300, and ... I ROUNDED UP!
So we now have a rotary dial phone in our office. I'm hooking it up with a number, and by next week the line should be open for your calls.
Haters have already declared it "a massive waste of everyone's time" but the tactile sensation of a rotary dial has already made the $25 price tag and the bicycle trip to south Brooklyn worth it.
Stay tuned for the number drop.
P.S. I think I have a way of taking voice messages and recording audio directly off the phone, so I should be able to post some of the weirder calls and voicemails I get.

He installed some of the first physical phone lines in NJ and NYC and passed away before cell phones were a thing. He would heartily endorse this product and/or event. :)

2024-06-13 16:19:56 +0000 UTCI know that when I bought a PCM audio recorder a few years ago it came with a splitter to put in a phone jack so you could use it for that purpose. So you shouldn't have any problem hooking up any of your existing audio recorders to an analog phone.
