Sellswords - New Version

Last time we gave you an update about Sellswords, we spoke about how the core rules felt solid, and we could finally start working on scenarios...

Well, whilst working on the first scenario, we realized that maybe the core rules could still be changed a bit, to make it feel more in line with the other OPR games. So today we released a new test version of the rules, following that concept.

The main difference is in how stat rolls are handled. Instead of rolling D6+STAT and trying to score the STAT difficulty, you now simply make a STAT roll on X+ like in our other games. This means that there's a lot less math involved in the game, making it run a lot smoother.

We've also re-named some of the stats to fit better in line with the other games, so for example units now take wounds instead of damage. Then the rest of the changes are basically just an adaptation of existing systems with this new style.

This is going to need a bit more playtesting, and we might actually do a more substantial re-organization of the rules as well, so that they feel more intuitive. For those of you new to the early access process, this is absolutely normal, all of our games go through as many re-writes as needed in order to make the best game possible. :D

At the top of this post you can see previews of some of the models that will be released in July, with the Alien Hives Spawning Beast and the Duchies of Vinci Drones.

Finally this month we also revealed our new Loyalty Rewards, which will be sent out at the end of the month to everyone that has been subscribed for 3 months or more. These are some truly massive models, and we can't wait to see you print them!
