Happy [insert bespoke holiday here] everyone! Hello to all returning Patrons and welcome to any newcomers. I hope you're enjoying the Dante's Cove series as much as I am. Here's what I'm up to in regard to the main channel:
I finally figured out what to do for a seasonal video: Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce-inspired TV Christmas movies! I know, you'd think this would be too specific a genre to yield any results. But believe it or not, both Hallmark and Lifetime have thrown their lucky hats into the ring this year (joke that will make sense once you've seen the video). In the last couple weeks, Hallmark has given us Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story...

And old reliable Lifetime has offered Christmas in the Spotlight.

When I'm stumped for video ideas, I often find that the universe comes along and drops the perfect subject into my lap. This is one of those times. A family member at Thanksgiving happened to tell me about Holiday Touchdown, and from there I found Christmas in the Spotlight and knew I had no choice but to cover both.
I'm a bit of a semi-closeted Swiftie, so I feel like I can bring an informed perspective to judge how good these movies are at being Swiftie fodder. I just shot the video yesterday, and it should be pretty short by my standards (like 30-40 minutes lol), so hopefully I'll have it ready in the next couple weeks.
In the coming year, now that I've gotten some of my big years-in-the-making videos finished, I think I want to go back to the basics a little and make more Lifetime videos. That's one of my favorite types of video to make, and I've gotten so many suggestions over the years for what microgenres to cover next. And I'm not sure I've mentioned this before, but I also have this dream of making a video covering all the Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers musicals. In addition to whatever topics fate brings me, of course. Chance is the fool's name for fate!

It's been almost a year since I launched this Patreon, and it's grown a lot since then! I'm so grateful for every one of you. It's really taken some of the pressure off financially and made me feel like I can take more time to produce the videos I truly want to produce instead of trying to come up with something as often as I can to keep the algorithm happy. Thanks so much for your support this month!
