2024-08-18 13:02:47 +0000 UTCThe most prominent archetype that comes to mind for me when it comes to blank slate characters would be the traumatized character that you take in and nurse back to health, (or take advantage of, you sicko) and their personality changes and develops based on how you treat them. Praise leading to being more confident and outspoken, or you could give them gifts, books might lead to them being more of a studious bookworm type while sports equipment might lead to them being more jockish, weapons and advice on how to defend themselves is this rough and tough world might lead to them taking a less friendly and more abrasive demeanor, particularly towards strangers they don't particularly trust yet, kinda like cassy I suppose. There's a lot of ways to do it that don't necessarily involve programming the character to your desired specifications as though they were an android, although that is also a potential option now that I think about it, them being an android I mean. It would provide an excellent in universe justification for your ability to program their personality and appearance. Although how you choose to do it is up to you, I don't want to seem like I'm trying to tell you how to make your game... I like your work and I just want to be helpful if that's okay

2024-08-17 08:23:22 +0000 UTCThanks! Glad to hear the hard work shows~. And I did consider it. Actually, Bell was originally supposed to be such a character. In the end though, it was decided that it wouldn't be worth the effort, because unlike the main character, the NPCs can have potentially multiple different portraits, which would be a ridiculous amount of work to draw randomized graphics for. Personalities as well, I think it would be very difficult to write meaningful content for if the personalities are randomized. Although it could potentially work for a 'blank slate' type of character that you essentially mold into a certain personality. That's something I could consider for down the line.

2024-08-12 19:28:13 +0000 UTCThis is a pretty good game! The character creator is surprisingly detailed. It's a shame you only use it to make the main character. Is there any possibility that it could be used to create NPCs to fight and date in the future? Better yet, randomized NPCs with random features that can be captured or romanced during a fight? Maybe even dress them up. There's a lot of cool systems in this game I hope get developed more. I know it's a tall order but the dynamic character creator is really good. Keep up the good work!
