Patreon Updates (Sales Tax & My Status)

Hi everyone,
I wanted to give you an update on some changes that we’ll be seeing which may affect some of your pledges. Due to new laws passing in several countries and US states, Patreon will be required to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July 1st. 
Less than half of all patrons will be charged sales tax, and for most, the amount will be very small. For example, sales tax rates in the US range from 4% to 11%, so on a $5 pledge, that would be between 20 cents and 55 cents. 
Whether or not you will be charged sales tax depends on your location, and what is considered taxable there. Not every pledge is taxable, not all benefits are taxable in every location, and sometimes only a fraction of a pledge will be taxable. The money that Patreon collects as a result of these laws are paid directly to local governments.

Now that that's out of the way...
I know it's been quiet on the page here, but I do try to stay active on the Patreon Telegram. Now that Discord officially launched the server/channel group video calls, and I don't have to do my weird workaround anymore, you might just start to see some more activity over there.
The biggest hurdle otherwise (apart from the general state of the world and things) is that where I am currently living has been a friend's house in the middle of the countryside. Which has meant shitty AF internet connection. I can't even watch Netflix and sometimes I can barely load a simple webpage. This has meant, sadly, no streaming capability. We just got someone out here to install a 10-ft tower on top of the house today in attempt to have a better signal (we're on radio broadband) and so far it looks like a very promising improvement... but time will tell, as well as the effects like peak hours and storms. But HOPEFULLY I can start doing video interactions with you all again more regularly!

I am very slowly working on a feathered raptor dinosaur partial suit, documenting my progress to share as exclusive Patreon content. I'm a bit behind here for posting those updates but Telegram is up-to-date. It has been difficult to find "free time" the past few months due to my new temp job at a costume parts production shop, house/yardwork, and a general exhaustion (that I hope is just due to the heat and run-of-the-mill stress... not some other more serious underlying cause).

Just sitting here and typing up a Patreon post can take an hour or two, especially if there's images to sort through and collage as well as add write-ups. It's kind of surprising how little time I find to use in a given day anymore and I kind of hate it. I'm always trying to improve and take your suggestions to heart; my biggest concern has always been if I'm doing enough to make you feel like supporting me here is worthwhile for you.
