2024-11-27 00:35:16 +0000 UTCAs I see it, there are three possibilities in this world: 1) Zaphira's parents are anthro snakes (child species follows parents), and her sisters are not adopted. But this would be inconsistent with the statement her sisters are different. 2) Either Zaphira or her sisters are adopted. This would allow them to be significantly different, and would allow story exposition on how the adoption happened. 3) Genetics works VERY differently in this world, and a child's species does not necessarily follow the parents' species. That would be very weird.
