and just to add salt to the wound his brother must have gotten accepted as a guardian on his first try. Otherwise his parents would have abandoned him too. but as it's been said "Resentment is like drinking a poison and hoping it will kill your enemies"

IvyReed

even if being told he really needs a lotta unfortunate events to change that way of thinking :'D I love how he is still so salty, but also tell him not to yell so loud or the guards will show up D:

Kuro

I theorize that they might be visions of the future.

Stop yelling at Tree Mom or I'll kick your furry little ass!

If those weren’t nightmares, then what were they?

...yeah, this is... definitely his parents' fault. They raise him in a household where being a guardian is the end-all, be-all. I think at one point, there were others in his family that wanted, sincerely, to protect the weak. So many came from his family that some took it as a birth right to continue to be guardians. Luna was merely the bearer of bad news... news that devastated a life and apparently caused some parents to literally unperson their child.

bro please show luna happy for once,it makes me sad seeing her so sad all time

Top notch face expressions! :)

This page really shows that Luna made a mistake when Nigel was a child, she was right to not make him a guardian, but not explaining what he lacked was wrong. Nigel is very left-brained, he's not one to think creatively as evidence by his very direct way of speaking and how he asks very pointed questions that are very hard to get around or give an ambiguous answer. Luna should have also gone with Nigel to explain this to his parents why he wasn't chosen as one, as they raised him with the mentality of being a guardian was more of a status symbol, rather than a career. He's intelligent and is capable of introspection and if he was told that from the beginning he may have realized that maybe being a guardian wasn't for him, but instead he grew up into the bitter person he is. I don't blame Nigel for how he turned out, it's really the fault of his parents. he's the poster child of what happens when you raise a child incorrectly by applying a one size fits all type of mentality to their development as some kids need to be handled differently than rest because they may have a harder time understanding than others

Now, Nigel. Let's not do anything that you might regret later down the line.

If those are not nightmares, then they are the future. Or worse still, The Truth

Man, how far can Nigel keep up with this delusional mind of his.

If ever there was a time for Luna to become a stern mother it would be now. What I wouldn't give to see her Gandalf her way to giving Nigel a revelation. As always, the facial expressions are on point
