I think the teacher is way more at fault than Chili is here. The teacher pretty much set her up to fail by being overbearing on her young charge and emphasizing far too harshly that she will kill someone if she messes up. Children at her age shouldn't be learning that kind of medicine. Something tells me that this isn't the first time that Chili has done something like this, purely to try and show others that she isn't a screw up, but because her teacher isn't doing enough to train her properly she keeps making mistake after mistake, leading to her being viewed by her people as more and more of a liability and to the teacher taking an even harsher stance towards her student until finally we reach this outcome.
