Hello everyone!
First model for Feb is done, yay! Lemme introduce you to "deniable assaulter pointman", carrying a PPK-20 as well as BZT-75 ballistic shield.
Since the shield is probably not THE most expected thing, i'll explain my way of thinking. While thinking about the overall vibe of these guys, I've started wandering "but what i would've brought if i knew i'll be engaging in a really dynamic CQB but i also knew that my team can't bring a lot of equipment". So, the two restrictions immediately became "have to be able to run fast and be agile" and "can be stored in a trunk of a civilian hatchback car discreetly". With these two in mind, i've immediately remembered about this smaller type of shield - not as bulky and limiting as Vant, very compact, yet still able to withstand (or deflect) a full burst of AK rounds point-blanc.
The whole pose also grows from the idea of "taking full burst in the chest safely while being able to return fire", keeping the shield angled to not have a 90d impact, while keeping the mag behind the shield to use it as an additional "stopper" for shield, as well as covering most of upper body safe (my condolences to the backpack though... but the armored version will not have it so we're good!).
As for weapon the PPK-20 became an obvious choice since 9mm para does not ricochet as much as 5.45 (he'll still have options for AKSU and AK105, as well as brand new SR-3M), plus allows the extras to be installed (for example new module here is Zenitco Perst-4 laser targeting module, accompanied by time-proven EoTech sight and Surefire flashlight) for more "advanced" vibe.
If you read this whole - good and i'm happy :p Would you like more textwalls or prefer just a small sitreps? Tell me!
