Feedback and discussion needed! Modular terrain project
Added 2024-03-24 07:59:55 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
So, long story short, since i have some more time at my disposal now, i want to make a set of terrain.
Specifically, i want to make a set of modular terrain for Asian modern suburb (think about Japan mostly, but with different roofs can work as generic non-US houses as well).
So, for now the question before me is what modularity system to use.
First obvious solution is OpenLock. It is time-proven system compatible with huge number of other makers (mostly fantasy though). Drawback of it is that whole system is kinda bulky
Second solution is going with my own system, call it "OctoLock" as a placeholder. It will be more "slim", centered around 30mm floor square and 60mm floor height system. Also modular, also with clips (a bit different though), but with my own tech solutions in it. Drawback is obviously that it will not be compatible with OpenLock.
Therefore i want to preliminary understand, if anyone else is interested in this kind of stuff and if you have any feedback on it.
It will obviously not be a part of Patreon, but since you guys support me, i've decided it would be a good idea to discuss it with you.

I will likely stitch a lot of it together in my slicer so I don't have a strong opinion
