Hello everyone!

Around New Year it was, when i made my last post regarding the current situation and i want to have this brief update for those of you, who keep a close eye on my "adventures".

As you remember, it is almost 1.5 years since PayPal stopped working in Russia to respect the sanctions caused by war in Ukraine.

To make things worse, the only (barely) working alternative (namely Payoneer) also stopped working last year, which basically left me with a beautiful numbers on Patreon to only look at.

I've spend last two weeks re-checking the possibilities of relocation to another tax jurisdiction, to no avail (add to it the risk of getting permabanned by PayPal on a whim and you'll understand my concern).

For now, I'm still going to continue working on Patreon and monitor the situation, but the future looks grim.

With no end of the war in sight and no end of the sanctions either, I'm in a constant risk of losing money for good.

Last year i was considering using alternative platform, but it has a drawback of being hard-linked to RU currency that proved to be incredibly unstable (for example, since the August 2022 it went from $1/60RUB to $1/90RUB) making the $-based income even more important.

So, in short - I'm still here for now, but my persistence and optimism slowly fade away. I hope i will be able to hold till the end though.

P.S. for those who are relatively new here and has read it with their eyebrow raised - while i do know, that in business it is not normal to share the "inside" of what's going on, i prefer maximum transparency as it allows Patrons to understand the situation better. My Patrons do a terrific job supporting me and i believe they deserve honesty from my side.
