Of course, I’m going to use this space to recommend that – if you haven’t already – you give both The Snowman and When the Wind Blows (available on Tubi in the US) a watch. Both are excellent and thoroughly moving… albeit for very different reasons. If you live in the UK, you’ll almost certainly have seen The Snowman before – watching it at Christmas is very much a kind of national tradition. Enjoy!

The Day After is another one of those films that's notorious for its terrifying (but accurate) portrayal of nuclear war. Scary stuff!
