Hey everyone!  As some of you may now, I've suffered a bit of a heartbreak in the last week.  Don't worry don't worry, this isn't going to be me all moping and acting depressed or anything.

A couple days after it happened, I mentioned that I may be taking some time off (excluding the Midnight Screenings).  I definitely wasn't in the right frame of mind to do any kind of work those particular days.  With that being said, now that time has passed, The Cinema Snob episodes will continue on as usual.  Yes, I'm still a bit a of a sad sack, and it's going to take a long while to heal, but I'm at least at a period right now where I have no problem getting back to work.

What I'm going through is a very normal thing to happen in life.  It's a kick in the crotch, and when it's incredibly sudden, it's also quite a bit shocking.  But there's a lot of people who go through the exact same thing, yet have no choice but to continue on with their day, be it their job, their daily routine, or simply getting out of bed.  I should also be able to do my job, my job is very easy.  I certainly took a few days for myself last week, and the convention last weekend was a roller coaster of emotions that was very very hard.

Sure, there's going to be days when I just want to sit around the house and do nothing, but for my set days when I have to work, I've got no problem doing my job and continuing to make content for everyone to enjoy.  Does that mean that I'm over everything that happened?  Lord no!  And I probably won't be anytime soon.  But there's a God's Not Dead 2 coming out in a couple of weeks, and goddamn it, someone's gotta tackle God's Not Dead on their show!

I've been dealing with depression for a long time, and maybe sometime I'll get a little more into that, but do you know what helps a little with depression?  Tequila.  No no, not the drink, that's a terrible idea.  Tequila & Bonetti.  I'm going to get right back into spotlighting more episodes of that very soon.

I've gotten much love and support in the last week, more than I think I've ever gotten in recent memory.  Thank you so much for that.  You're all incredibly wonderful people, and while I'm going through an extremely emotional rough patch, it's folks like you that make me glad that I do what I do for a living.  So here's to healing, good mental health, and making some new content.

I'm definitely way too late "to the party", but I certainly do get what has been conveyed at that point in time. There are way too many occasions where I wish at least I had humor like you do, but mine only works if I can play off of someone and that again only happens when I'm in the mood for it. Speaking of the Gods not Dead universe, I have just discovered (and pretty sure everyone else did way before me) that a movie exists out there, called Sorority Party Massacre, and it has Leslie Easterbrook, Ron Jeremy and Kevin Sorbo. Sure, it's possible it'd be a low hanging fruit, too easy to riff, but I've seen a potential in it ;)

Nice!

I had wondered why there was a sudden pause in the videos a while back. Hopefully things will all get much better and hope you're ok. I'm still rewatching your stuff now.

You are my first pledge. Joined Patreon just now. I discovered your channel last year, and it instantly became my favorite. I live with depression, anxiety and PTSD. So I know how rough of a battle it can be. In binge-watching every single Cinema Snob before just waiting eagerly for Monday to arrive, you have made me laugh so dang hard. You've been a bright spot in otherwise dark times, and I cannot thank you enough. I also appreciate how you handled sensitive topics on the show and could still bring humor into it. Heartbreak absolutely blows. If you ever just get burned out, take a nap, chill, do what you need for your well-being. Your fans will still be around and we will just have to go find something crappy to watch and riff on our own. Again, thanks. - EE

I don't like to write comments cause I feel like intruding. I don't know you (even as I can't help to see you as a friend I see every week) Just want to tell you that your work helps me when I feel bad. It's important to me and I appreciate that. Hope you get back some of the joy you give us soon.

Depression is an ugly beast (speaking from experience). Glad that you've got lots of love & friends around you, you're great, Brad!

Bianca Kates keeps forgetting to change her Patreon name

You take all the time you need, Awesome McDuderson. There's always all my favorite classic Snob eps to re-watch. Like "Hitler: Wanted dead or Alive". I still nearly die from laughing every time i see that one.

4k Yeah

What can i say that nobody has already said? Nothing, so I won't. Have some rest tho, and see you.

C.Nyx

Just do whatever you need to do that makes you happy. I can't imagine what hell these past few days have been like, but as a fellow person of depression I've learned that if you keep trying to do things no matter what it is it makes it easier to get through the day. I'm glad that you get to do what you love and I welcome any future projects you have coming down the line!

Riley

Take all the time and holiday you need :)

Jamie

Brad take your time. I suffer from severe clinical depression. Keep yourself busy, but don't over do it. You need to keep yourself good

I don't think he really has all that much to do regarding when a Flaming Brian's gets made. Though I do certainly hope for more, that dangling promise way back when of 'hopefully once a month' back with The Hottest Fuckin' Sauce (which, yes, I know, was kind of interrupted by Brian having medical issues) was a major reason why I pretty much instantly started patreon-ing as soon as it was listed under the early access stuff.

Since again don't know the full story (and honestly shouldn't anyway as this is obviously something really personal you shouldn't have to share the details with strangers online) I just hope you continue recovering from this at your own speed and are able to find a way to feel better. Didn't know you had depression but again not something you should ever really have to share or say with strangers online unless you're comftortable with admitting it. But again praying the most for you man... not in an overly religious way since apparently according to the ads of God's Not Dead 2 that gets you in legal courts so man can't wait for you to tear into the first movie among other Cinema Snob and yeah more Tequilla and Bonetti eps as I'm glad DVD-R Hell continues in some form and that's a good form to take it in.

Neo Ultra Mike

Do another Flaming Brian's. Burn the sad away.

Jay Sellers

Good luck!

Tom Helge Hennum

As always, sir, feel free to give me a call if you want to talk or anything. =)

Lewis Lovhaug

Wish you all the best. Keep it up!

Harald Burger

Oh man poor guy I hope everything works out in the end. You're one of the funniest, charismatic and charming people to watch and it makes me sad to hear about all the stuff you've gone through over the past few years. Take the time you need for a break and the rest of us will understand and look forward to more of Tequila and Bonetti! :)

XYamX (Jason)

I only wish you the best after this sh*tty experience. Heartbreaks suck ass. And wether you go back to work or take more time for yourself off, it's important that you do what you think is the best for you. I know what it's like to work while having depression - it is horrible and can be a living hell. But you pretty much can choose and if you think you need to take some time off again, that's fine by me (and I'm sure it's fine by others here as well). With that said: I'm looking forward to see you again in your videos. And hopefully you'll recover soon. Godspeed!

Tabascofanatikerin

Thank you for always making me laugh when I'm feeling down. The least you deserve is someone - or some talking dog- who does the same for you. <3

Carrie Harp

<3 Brad thank you so much for all the work you do and the respect you show us as fans. I've had to go through heartbreak before and recently had something happen that's wasn't quite the same, but similar in ways, where for reasons out of our control someone I care about very deeply was suddenly unable to contact me much, at the very least not nearly as much as we used to. Your honestly one of the things that reality easier for the both of us and I hope you realize that even if it doesn't seem like it the content you make is bigger than just you because it brings so many people joy and even deeper understanding of modern movies and the history of odd cinema, and the hours and hours you've already made is beautiful

Dylan Lambert-Gilliam

You're awesome, and I hope your work helps with the good mental health. Your shows have certainly helped with mine at times.

Meowlissa

Brad, you continue to demonstrate that you have one of the best work ethics of anyone out there. One day, the joy you bring will be returned to you.

Michael Reddin

By all means, take as much time as you need. We've all been there, and are there for you.

Matt Rodabaugh

Would more movie donations help I've got some old stuff lying around.

jsp2k4

Take all the time you need, we will understand, but very cool that Tequila & Bonetti will return , and hpe you had a good rest during C2E2.

SuperFanCom

I'm sure you don't need some stranger on the internet to tell you this, Brad, but you are an important person and deserve to be happy. Take all the time you need to heal, and don't feel bad about feeling bad. I know you'll bounce back and keep bringing the funny. You rock, dude.

LupinThe8th

I figured some Tequila and Bonetti would help medicate a wounded heart. We all go through emotional downfalls, and it's usually the support of friends that lift you out of it. I had a month full of depression over a year ago, and birthday wishes alone turned me around. So, best wishes to you, Brad. There's no such thing as too much support.

Nick Michalak

I don't know anything about the thing you're going through, but we're all here for you. You're in my thoughts and prayers, and tequila and bonnetti sounds like the perfect cure to what ails ya!

Chris rider

Don't worry about taking time off, everyone has a personal life and sometimes you need time and space. I hope you feel better soon and I look forward to more stuff :)

Tanis

Thank you for everything Brad!

Bill Murphy

Your are Brad Friggin Jones! You need to keep giving the internet all the thing s that make you awesome

Benjamin Falbo

Take the time you need to get back to where you need to be. Best wishes
