Midnight Screenings: "Home Alone"

I watched this a lot as a kid, I remember scattering legos infront of the door and putting vasiline on the knob. My reasoning was that no one was actively trying to break in, so there would be no way to keep the knob hot. But vasiline would make it hard to get in no matter what. It worked, my grave yard shift working grandfather couldn't get in after his overnight shift!

I remember watching "Home Alone" back then. It was one of the first times to witness what Christmas in the USA is suppoused to look like. I was pretty impressed by this, but also by the sets. But I also found the story weird back then (who forgets his kid while leaving for vacation??) and I'm not a fan of Kevin himself. But hey, it somehow works for me. But to me it's more fun to read the MAD comic parody.

My experience was horrid. The so called "Fathom Event" featured no Ben Lyons, but it did have the menu from the DVD. The DVD was wonderful full screen. No sound for about 5 minutes in, and once it was fixed they didn't start it over. And yet I paid the extra price. WTF happened at our theatre, I don't know...
