"It's called pain and gain, don't be a little bitch!"

Time for a pain update!  Man does medication totally do the trick lol.  While I still have bouts of extreme pain as far as my shoulder goes, the medication really is helping.  It gets to where so long as I don't move it around much, it doesn't hurt at all.  Then of course the meds wear off and it starts hurting like a mother fucker.  My eye actually started hurting a little bit last night too, it was weird, it was like a headache that was just in that one spot where the stitches are.

I'm going up to Chicago this weekend, and even though I'm managing a lot of pain, it'll be great to get out of town for a couple of days, largely to see a new and very awesome and important person in my life right now =)  I felt bad for getting in this accident a week before us getting together, I even said last night "shit, I was going to ask if you wanted to go to Six Flags while we're up there," but it's ok because she replied "oh that's fine, I hate rollercoaster."  So that totally works out lol.  Or maybe we could go there anyway and just stare at them and people watch.

I've got the Midnight Screenings to go to tonight, so I'm curious to see how that goes.  Luckily the movie isn't terribly long, and I seem to have no problem sitting for a period of time.  I'm sure that in that video, I'll probably be like I was in the "Ouch" video where I was just kinda lethargic and tired.  Brian is seeing the movie with me, and Brian can easily carry a review like a champ.  Really everyone in the team can.  Sarah is a master at carrying a video if the other person doesn't feel like talking much.

I know that I had been going through a lot of stuff in the past few months, and I feel terrible that I've made my friends and loved ones so worried, but I've assured everyone that I'm fine, and I'll be ready to get back to work and get things back to normal once I heal.  Actually I felt pretty back to normal before the clumsy ass porch thing happened.

What I really want to do is go back to making extremely dark movies like I did before the site take off.  I love my dark movies, and I miss making them.  I've had ideas floating in my head for about 10 years, but I never made them because once the site took off, we focused more towards comedies like "Game Boys," "The Hooker with a Heart of Gold," and "The Cinema Snob Movie."  I do love those movies, in fact I think Hooker is probably our best one, but there's definitely something I miss about making a true blue straight forward exploitation movie, like we did with "Cheap" and "Midnight Heat."

There's a rape/revenge movie that I wrote a long time ago that I might revisit.  "Midnight Heat 2" is dead for obvious reasons, and "Shot on Shitteo" currently can't be released for legal reasons, which now more than ever makes that movie our "Day the Clown Cried."  Our next step regarding that will be refunding those who paid for a preorder of that DVD.  I apologize severely to those people, and we'll make it up to you.  I promise our future movies will be all kinds of dark and seedy.

When I shot the vlog yesterday, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to edit it.  I kept the mouse where it was, but used my left hand for it.  Granted that was just a vlog which required very little editing, so I don't know what it would be like doing something bigger like a Snob episode or a Tequila and Bonetti episode, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

You are one tough dude. Honest. I've only just read up the other posts and I'll be watching some of the videos later today. I'm sorry that you're going through these rough patches and you're handling them like a damn champ. I hope that everything will work out for you work wise and that you have fun during your trip. I also hope that the pain will subside soon. I've had a few broken bones and after a while they stop hurting so much and I hope that'll happen for you. I'm sorry I've got no real eloquent words to use but just know that we're all rooting for you! *hug*

Glad to see things are getting better. Having dealt with depression in the past sometimes stupid shit like this is sometimes a good kick in the ass to motivate you. That said, I would love to some of your darker stuff, even if that meant taking time away from the site.

Hopefully you have a well, quick recovery (with "quick" I mean "doesn't take too long"). And as I read a very important (she-)person has entered your life, as you mentioned. I can only wish you the best even though I don't know her but either it's relation- or friendship: if a new cool person steps into your life to make it better and make you feel better during hard times it can be just awesome :) About your "dark movies" discussion: You haven't mentioned "Paranoia", wouldn't you call this a dark movie, too? But hey, why not? I loved the dark stuff in "Paranoia" so yeah, I would look forward to new works that are darker. Just tell me if you need a Nazi impersonator! And until you're definitely back I'll watch some older episodes of yours and catch up the latest one. And I'm curious about the next midnight screening. Greetings and get well soon! I know the pain, it sucks ass and shoulders!

Just watch the ouch video, and you looked beat, still smilling tho, that s a good thing. If the medics works, keep taking them, but don t go dr house on us, even if the posibility of a seeing you in the role is really appealing. As for the rest, well have fun in chicago, get as much beauty sleep as you can, and i don t have a third thing to add so bye.

Would you ever do a Hooker 2? I'd like some straight up exploitation like Cheap but after you saying how much you like Hooker, I'm just curious.

Sorry to hear how downhill the whole year has gotten. I know it's tough when you have to call it quits on a film project. I've done so a few times and both were stirring around for over a year or more. Usually best to take some time away from that sort of thing and get back to a fresh starting point. I hope your weekend in Chicago goes well. Maybe go downtown for a museum if walking isn't a major obstacle.

This came up mere minutes after I watched the vlog, so great timing! I have to say I liked the comedies more than the straight exploitation, but do what you want to do. First, most of us will watch your movies regardless. Second, you have to keep your creative juices going and that could be exactly what you need to feel a bit refreshed. Nothing like some good old fashioned rape revenge to really get you going! Really looking forward to the future of the site. It seems that after trying times, when an artist pulls through, they go on to make their best stuff. It's when everything is going well that things get all Prequel-y. But after all the BS of the past few months I think we are going to see some of your best stuff over the next years. Can't wait Brad!
