Atop the Fourth Blog: Day 9
Added 2015-04-27 03:19:59 +0000 UTCFinal day! Yep, we got all of our stuff done this afternoon. And it was the quickest day of filming too. We shot over in the clubhouse area of Lewis' apartment complex. Comfy seats, a pond, a patio area, it was a hell of a nice area to do our last day of filming. When filming was over, we hung out on the patio, I had some cigarettes, we shot the shit, and kept the sun out of our eyes. I got to say a line that implies that my character is drunk through most of the movie, which makes sense given how awesomely random my lines are. Plus my last line was also literally my last line in the movie, and it was the final thing we shot today. We all went out to the wrap dinner over at a Mongolian grill, where we shot even more shit, primarily about orgies that go wrong when you do it in front of the fireplace and spark singes off someone's ass hair. It doesn't have to be your ass hair, just someone's ass hair in general. I could take or leave Mongolian grill restaurants, but it's a decent enough place. If that's your thing, then it's totally a good place to eat. Especially since they play Most Extreme Elimination Challenge on the TV. The best part was the Surf Monkey drink I had. It had pineapple juice, banana liquor, and some other stuff I forgot off the top of my head, but it was certainly delicious. It's always tough saying goodbye to friends who you only see about once a year. Hell, I haven't seen Joe since To Boldly Flee. This shoot was a fantastic shoot. It was easy, it was professional, and the only stresses were stresses that you'll find on every single set you'll ever do. It was perfectly normal. Nothing got too far behind, we stayed on track, Lewis and Jess ran a smooth ship. Jess is a kickass AD, and Lewis can definitely take on director responsibilities. I hope he does more movies in the future, and if he does, I definitely hope to be a part of it. I've got a long day of travel ahead of me tomorrow. My train takes off at 8am, and somewhere along the way I'll end up in Springfield. Probably tomorrow night at some point. I can't remember how long my layover in Chicago is, but I'm pretty sure the train ride from Minneapolis to Chicago is like 7 hours of something like that. Well, that'll certainly give me plenty of time to get the new Snob episode written, that is if I'm awake enough. At the least, I already have the new DVD-R Hell of Tequila and Bonetti written. Speaking of, we signed the cast photos today, and only a select handful will be lucky enough to get the rare signed cast photos with a drawing of Tequila on it. Then there's the ultra rare, and only one, where I attempted to draw Bonetti, and it looks like a stalk of brocoli with a smiley face. Whoever gets that one, frame it well and cherish it. Ok, I really should crash. I hope you enjoyed reading these blogs, as I have certainly enjoyed writing them. I'm still working through my shit, but it's going to be great being home and back to work. Until then, I'll try to update this blog a lot more, because they really have been cathartic as hell to write. Thanks for reading, lots of love to you all!

It was a pleasure reading the blogs! And I guess you are still on your way home while I'm writing this. I hope this time your train didn't get cancelled and you have a smooth trip back home. I'm quite used to 7 hour-train travels but when it takes longer because of some disturbances it sucks hard. I know. Oh, btw: Tequila and Broccoli. He he :D

2015-04-27 03:40:30 +0000 UTCSmiles all around! Congrats on a smooth shoot. Lewis really is a taskmaster for himself, and seems to run a tight ship with AT4W in general. That guy is a machine when comes to production. My proverbial hat's off to him. I hope you have a relaxing and easy trip home. These blog posts have been a real treat. Keep 'em coming, and I'm excited for "Lloyd."
