An Update on Future Projects
Added 2015-03-21 22:31:53 +0000 UTCAs many of you have noticed, this week has been particularly rough. Though no matter how many times I made that known, it still didn't stop a few "um, are doing a Snob episode this week or what?" So I might have been a little curt with some responses of "yeah it's been a long week" lol. While I'm certainly not going to divulge on any personal details, we've made it known that everyone's health is good, and now I'm just focusing on continuing on with work. It's been pretty rough to get back into a work mode this week, which is why there was just the Midnight Screenings on Thursday, but updates will resume this coming week, plus a couple more Midnight Screenings as well (the religious movie "Do You Believe" and the re-release of "Rear Window"). Needless to say, I'm finally getting back into work mode, which has certainly kept my mind off of things. A lot of questions have been asked about what's going to happen with a few of our current projects that are either in production, or in development. The finale of "The Reviewers" has been written, and the reason why it hasn't been shot yet is to give Brian plenty of time to recuperate after his appendicitis, plus there's a few scenes that take place outside, that the weather had been not to pleasant in the past couple months. Now that Brian is back on his feet and the weather is fine, we'll resume shooting on The Reviewers. But, half of the episode has to be rewritten. We had plenty of meetings with how to go forward on certain things, and we came to many conclusions. The Jeff character will be written out of the finale, and a new character will be introduced. Ryan will be portraying Oliver, who will be established in the finale as Sarah's character's brother, and also an up and coming internet reviewer, in the vein of the Jeff and Andy characters. Those of you who get the reference of an Oliver replacing a Jeff, you are indeed awesome. "Shot on Shitteo" however has to be completely reshot and rewritten. There's no way to salvage the footage that we have to make a completed film. Too many important scenes weren't filmed, and given the importance of the lead character, it would be impossible to write around it. So, an entirely new plotline will be made, and the footage from the wheel chair segment and the squirrel segment will be reworked as fake trailers to be spliced into the movie. Rest assured, there will be a release for "Shot on Shitteo" this year, and odds are it will be a remake of one of our lost films "Sadistic Bitch." As for the "80's Dan" movie, nothing is being changed in regards to that movie's script. There's not a date set yet for filming, as Shot on Shitteo and The Reviewers have to be completed first, but no re-writing is going to take place. The only difference is that there will now be a different voice for Rob The Robot. We haven't decided on who yet, but that project is far off in the future, and we'll think about that when it gets closer. The Midnight Screenings are of course continuing on as usual. I've given some thoughts about adding another person into the mix, but as it is now, you'll still have all the regular Midnight Screenings reviewers such as myself, Brian, Dave, Sarah, Irving, and a lot more Ryan. Even Jillian might pop back up in them every once in a while. Ryan has been wonderful, not just as a new permanent presence on the Midnight Screenings, but also as my producer and manager, he's been a behind the scenes force that the site has needed for a very long time; and as a friend, he's one of the best I could have. All of my friends have been wonderfully supportive during all of this, and I couldn't ask for a better group of friends, who have been like family for nearly a decade now, and we'll continue to put forth amazing new work for you all to enjoy. Thanks to all of our fans for sticking with us during the past week, and we certainly won't let any of you down.

2015-04-17 11:40:06 +0000 UTCThanks for this, Brad. I'm sorry you've had to endure such hyperbolic commenting on your site and social media. Take your time and work at your own pace. There are plenty of people that appreciate the work you do immensely. Keep it up.

2015-03-23 15:50:55 +0000 UTCJust an idea: While working on 'fixing' Rob's voice, maybe have him change to different voices before settling on the final voice? I know, cliche, but it'd be amusing. Bonus: ALMOST have him settle on a female voice, but then go into an existential crisis over his feelings for Mrs. Crabtree while in the female voice.

2015-03-23 01:20:33 +0000 UTCTo be fair, I didn't figure out the Oliver replacing a Jeff reference until after you pointed out that it *was* a reference.

2015-03-23 00:46:01 +0000 UTCI only wish you the best for your work with all the changes and re-writings! It may be tough but enjoy the results when they're done :) Also: I wasn't upset, confused or sad as there was no Snob episode this week. I kinda understood (also it was a rough week for me, too so I would have saved the episode watch for better days).

2015-03-22 05:09:39 +0000 UTCIt is never easy when things go sideways, who could blame you for pushing The Snob back a few days? Ryan is great, I always love seeing him pop up in the Midnight Screenings!

2015-03-22 03:03:24 +0000 UTCAnd yeah, I REALLY like Ryan. The man's got charisma and wit to spare. I loved to see more of him on the site, but I'm glad you've got a solid guy like that managing your brand name!

2015-03-22 01:43:22 +0000 UTCReplacing a guy I like with another guy I also like? I don't really see a problem there. Glad to see more Ryan! His laughter is contageous and he's funny. ^^

2015-03-21 23:57:18 +0000 UTCHeavy hearts to the whole team. Seriously, if you guys ever need another experiencee filmmaker to help things along better I am willing to be of service to you. Regardless, best wishes on all of these projects! We're not going anywhere.

2015-03-21 23:55:10 +0000 UTCI have always enjoyed Ryan's contributions to the site, so more of him is a plus. This year seems to be full of big changes for a lot of people, I hope most of them prove to be positive in the long run... So Rob just needs a new voice modulator. MST3K season 2 episode 1.

2015-03-21 23:35:29 +0000 UTCI'm just glad to hear things are picking up. You have done a ton of stuff that it can be taken for granted at times so things happening that kind of change up stuff can be a little worrying. Sad to hear about things needing to be changed with The Reviewers and such but I know whatever happens, you'll produce something great. Just want to say thank you for all that Team Snob has done and will do.

2015-03-21 23:10:56 +0000 UTCGlad to see things are getting back to normal for you Brad.
