Lloyd: In Production Artwork and Storyboards
Added 2015-03-21 19:34:34 +0000 UTCStill deep into production on the pilot episode for "Lloyd." Here are a few sample pieces of artwork and concept artwork. Keep in mind this is still in production. The blocks in place of the hands and feet are just temporary, but this should give you a tiny glimpse at what's to come. Also check out this sample piece of animation from the Toonwerks youtube page. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HueB-6Kg_iM&feature=youtu.be Animation is still deep in production, so this isn't what the final scene will look like obviously (the mouths don't move yet, and there's no backgrounds). But it gives you a glimpse at some of the voicework for the episode. "Lloyd" is about a private investigator who specializes in taking on cases from a wide assortment of characters, many of whom mimic characters from various exploitation and b-movies. In the pilot episode, titled "Dookie," Lloyd is hired by Zeeko the alien to search the African desert for his missing brother Dookie. The pilot features myself as Lloyd, Jillian Zurawski as Chloe, Sarah Lewis as Dookie/Zeeko, and other voicework featuring Matthew Buck, Allison Pregler, Lewis Lovhaug, Alex Jowski, and more.

Technically, the video would be called an Animatic. Basically a semi-animated story board with keyframes. I checked out other cartoons by Toonwerks and wasn't impressed, but Lloyd looks really good, so kudos to their team. They animating with flash?

I admit that the Lloyd here reminds me a bit more of a fox or bobcat than a cat but I'm still open to the project and final product :) I'm also looking forward to the voiceworks of matthew Buck for example, I am also curious about the voiced characters :D
