Zombie

Yesterday was a very very interesting day of editing. At some point during the night, the heat went out at my place. The furnace was technically still "working" as in it was making noise and putting out air...it was just cold air. So, I bundled up with a bunch of blankets, slept in my hoodie, and woke up freezing as shit. No matter how high up I set the thermostat, the temperature in the house wouldn't rise about 43 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, that's technically warmer than outside, I guess. It's been snowy and below freezing for a couple days now. But I had to get editing done yesterday, since I wrote and shot the Zombie video that day before. So, I put some pants over my sweatpants, put on my socks and shoes, my hoodie, hat and gloves; wrapped myself up in a bunch of blankets and sat down to edit. Editing with gloves on was something that I had to get used to and hope that I never do again. Apparently I misspelled "Gremlin" or something in the opening credits, but regardless of me wearing gloves, I'm not going to take down a video, spend an hour re-rendering it, then another half hour posting it because of a slight misspelling lol. Accidental tit or bush shot, that I'll take down and re-post, or if I get some information wrong. Typos? I'll live with that for the most part. Especially since I was just happy that it got posted and the warm air came back on. My landlord stopped by yesterday and he sent over a guy to fix it. So that was certainly a chilly editing adventure. The cats were fine though, they just hung out upstairs under the covers. And now that I'm sitting here warm in the house, I gotta go see Woman In Black 2 later tonight, and then talk about it in a car, outside, below freezing. Hehe, I complain, but Midnight Screenings is still my favorite show on the site, and the cold weather gives us something to joke about. Speaking of cold, hope everyone had a nice New Years Eve. Mine went great, I went out with some friends, had some drinks, came home and went to bed. I really didn't even get that drunk, but holy shit, I woke up sick as hell! I didn't get out of bed until 5:45pm, and that was only because I went over to my friend Mike's house because he wanted to show me a video. Several times I had to excuse myself to go throw up. Again, I really didn't that wasted the night before. What I think it is, is that at some point I think I had something that might have been slightly expired and just didn't sit well on my stomach. Mike found one of our old high school short films, and he played it on his laptop for me, Dave, Sarah and Buford, and then he filmed our reactions to us watching it. I'll end up posting the reaction online sometime, but just keep in mind that I am sick as a dog in this video. It probably shouldn't have been filmed the day after new years eve lol.

I hope you are feeling better. Sorry you had to deal with all of that, sounds like quite the hassle. BUT at least you have a story now :P In any case, can't wait to see the vid and wishing you all the best.

I had a thought about this while at work. Maybe for a future episode, have the Cinema Bum do a review? So the Snob is watching something, complaining about the furnace being broken, then gets called away through plot convenience. Meanwhile, have the Bum break into the Snob's house to escape the cold, finds it's just as cold inside, then bundles up before he notices there's a movie on pause. So he goes to watch whatever movie the Snob was watching and gives his reaction before the Snob comes back in to chase him away.

Same with 'a very inappropriate christmas special' 80s dan...

I live in Chicago and the worst part about last year was the arctic blasts we just KEPT GETTING... gotta love fighting with a dying battery trying to drive to work because of sub-zero temperatures.

The radiator in my bedroom works when it wants to and I almost had a car accident today. Give me one reason why I ought to enjoy winter...

Yeah, I noticed that the titles looked a little different this time. Maybe just bolder or clearer, but something about them caught my eye to notice that typo.

lol sorry I didn't even notice that was you who told me that. Good catch though. When I had a set opening credit sequence I would copy and paste, but since the credit sequences change every week, I retype them. Chloe and Lloyd were fine in the cold, with their fur coats and all. I don't think they were necessarily happy, but they hung out upstairs where it was a tiny bit warmer.

Freezing cold in the house? I know the feeling.

Largo

Interesting to think that a year ago you were stranded in a train station during the Chicago blizzard.

Cool. I was hoping I'd get your reaction to Woman in Black 2. I saw it over the weekend, and...well...no.

Man, sounds like your 2015 started out with some speed bumps. Mine was an arduous nightmare of a compulsion-revulsion relationship with a new video of mine, but at least, I wasn't freezing my ass off. So, it could've been worse. Glad you got warmed up. How did Chloe & Lloyd handle it? And yeah, I figured you weren't gonna revamp the "Zombie" episode for a typo, but it was just an FYI for the next episode (in case you just copy-and-paste the titles). It was a really good episode. Some really clever jokes throughout. You never cease to amaze me how fresh you keep your content. Can't wait for more Italian gore on the Snob (well, it doesn't actually have to be on him, specifically)! LOL!
