The 2011 "Ride of Steel" Accident
Added 2022-02-08 11:15:01 +0000 UTCOften, when researching a video, I find that a lot of the resources which might be most useful have simply disappeared from the internet. That was the case with the full version of the report on this accident.
Whenever this happens, I always make sure to check the Wayback Machine. It's actually quite amazing just how much it saves. In this case, while I couldn't retrieve the full report, I could at least get access to the first few pages.
If you're ever researching something and keep running into dead links, I can't recommend the Wayback Machine highly enough. Without it... well... quite a lot of important stuff would just be lost to time.

Back when I worked (briefly) in a theme park, I worked on the midway-style games. Great fun... and I appreciated that I didn't have to deal with as much risk as the ride operators!
