The Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Disaster
Added 2021-06-08 10:15:01 +0000 UTCI often make use of The Wayback Machine when researching incidents - its record of old websites is second to none. It was especially useful here, as it allowed me to access archived versions of the Farrell's website.
Here's a link to The Wayback Machine versions of the site. There's a whole bunch of snapshots taken at different points in time - all the way back to 2003. It's interesting to scroll through and see how the website grew as technology developed. And it really gives some insight into what Farrell's was like as a business.
For now, Farrell's is gone... but it's possible that it'll come back at some point. I'll keep an eye on the website. Having read so much about it, it would be excellent to visit.

I had this incident noted down as "Sacramento Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour", so I was as surprised as you to read about the details of the incident. A plane smashing into the building you're in out of nowhere has to be one of the last things you'd expect when you're out for a meal!
