Broken Leader

Now that's a rare and unusual take on Spitfire (or Tipsyfire nontheless) but I was inspired by an older Twitter Comment, which adressed the fact that in my head, Spitfire drinks very often and therefore must have a reason for it. Maybe, deep inside, there lies something painful she wants to drown and forget about that way?
Either way, I came up with a sketch full of emotion and pain as well as anger for my favourite pegasus mare and I couldn't let go of the thought of finishing that piece. I always draw her confident, funny, sometimes silly or maybe annoyed, but have we seen her cry and yell in frustration before? I wanted to make that happen and gave it all I got. I wanted the image to look dark and desaturated except for her golden, yellow and partially red colours, putting emphasis on her in this piece. Spitfire did drink and sometimes alcohol can cause the strongest of emotions. What could have happened here? Did she see something terrifying? Did she find out a terrible truth or did she remember something traumatic? The choice is yours. What are your suggestions/ideas? I want to hear what you come up with^^
I hope you like tzhis piece and you can sorta feel the emotion I put into it. It's usual but sometimes I crave to draw something dramatic, as well. I'd love to hear what you think of it!
