Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer

You know what? I've been obsessed with something for the past few weeks honestly XD And that certain something was Cats - the Musical. When an old friend and I spent some time and came to talk about the upcoming movie and its trailer, he and I started to compare the characters to the original and we started watching the DVD of the official musical that my grandma owned and gifted to me then. Turns out I still remebered many of the characters and songs from my childhood and also found out that I had new favourite characters and songs from the play. One of them being the mishevious cat couple Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer^^
Seriously, I don't know why I couldn't remember them at first, but their song is so catchy, their performance very funny and entertaining and they harmonize so well together. I'd love to have a bond with someone that strong and working out just like these two going through thick and thin XD But in a funny and comedic way haha, even committing crime together lol.
I came to find that Rumpleteazer is my favourite female character from the musical and I thought "Hey, why not?" and drew these two as real cats since it's not something I do very often and cats have always been challenging for me^^ I wanted to make them look like exact interpretations of their humanoid examples, wanted to make them look kinda disney-ish and expressive in their pose and expressions.
Their coat patterns were a little challenging and I am still not 100% happy with the way I draw paws, but in general I am super pleased with how this turned out as my little traditional side project these past few days. I wonder if I may or may not come up with another one hmmmm. Would love to make more of these and practice other animals than horses only :P

2019-08-16 05:28:39 +0000 UTCBut but I wanted a good laugh and cringe once it's out XD I admit, I think the animations look fine, but not the look of the characters, some even not recognizable anymore, but I would give it a try anyways just to see how they transferred the music scenes to this movie from the musical
