:COMM: Superior Shadow

Hello everyone,

once again I can present you a finished commission for the lovely :iconvictorymon: and his OCs^^ This time we see the final image of the once kind and reliable Royal Guard Dusk Weaver turning into a dark and sinister Shadowbolt.

While the image of his transformation itself was a blast to work on and made me happy as a result, I think this one might be my favourite. Not only do I like Shadowbolts and "darker sides" of characters, I am proud of the outcome of this, of the effect even simple cellshading can create and the suitable background. You see, the commissioner wanted me to draw the strong and superior looking Shadowbolt in a sitting position with unfolded wings with much strength in it, perhaps with a full moon in the backround. He also asked me to add some kind of mirror-effect to the image in which we see a nervous/scared Dusk Weaver, who lost control over the dark side. And there we have it.

I figured just drawing Dusk Weaver and making him a little transparent wouldn't make much sense, which is why I added the "mirror" in the background, reflecting some parts of the image, breaking from the dark and evil full moon under Nightmare Moon's control (since the Shadowbolt has some kind of connection to Princess Luna).When it comes to their story, Victorymon would be the best to ask about it^^

Alrighty, I think I explained my feelings about this drawing, I just really like the result and the process definitely was enjoyable. Thank you very much to the kind :iconvictorymon: for commissioning and supporting me and for being a pleasure to work with.
