Nude Couple (Studies)

since Live Drawing sessions are about to come within the next few months at school, I decided to already practice humans and human anatomy from time to time, just sketching and refining a few reference images I looked up and this is the first one I created. It shows a couple gently caressing each other in a simple scene.
This was for anatomy studies and lighting studies which is why it might not be my best work, but I am not too unhappy with the result. I tried to focus on every little detail in their skin and bodies, to bring out all the minor and major shadows and highlights throughout the scene and make them still look natural and soft.
I see some flaws in their anatomy, especially their faces that I still need to improve in my next pieces, but still: I am content with the outcome, I think especially the man and his stomach area look pretty good for my standards, so I am grateful for your criticism to learn more from it.
I sure did enjoy drawing this couple, I find it rather romantic and appealing.

2019-06-16 14:51:13 +0000 UTCRomantic indeed~ although with the angle of the lower body of the female, she looks like she only has one leg xD The man stomach is nice but i think lacks a bit of definition, depending how muscular his abdomen is. Also his collarbone near his neck looks like it's jutting out ^^" The lady's back bone plates seem to also be missing on her upper back. Overall this is an amazing anatomy study and sexy too ;3
