Gym Meeting

Heya guys^^

finally I can call it done and present this month's Spitfire/SpitDash related picture to you: the two sporty mares meeting at the gym :)

Now as we know, Spitfire may or may not have a secret crush on Rainbow Dash and she surely wants to impress her in any way, but not making it too clear at the same time. Therefore, how to do it while still looking cool and casual? Yep, she is just showing off her sporty side and the fit, athletic mare she is, the Captain of the Wonderbolts definitely has a good and strong stamina to work with, making her look extra good and maybe even attractive doing her excercises. ( I wish I could say I look good during training sessions like others do, wearing nice skinny clothes or just being able to casually smile and keep a good pose during excercises and training like Spitfire here. Meh). Rainbow notices it of course and smiles back at Spitfire, already a bit washed-out from her running on the treadmill for quite some time already. However, seeing Spitfire at the gym smiling at her is sure something that liftens up her mood^^

It was fun to work on that piece, I can tell XD The treadmills were the hardest part to work with since they are complex objects and not that easy to draw, but I think I managed here :D Pretty happy with the looks of them :D Besides, I wanted to give Spitfire a different running pose from what I normally draw, so I looked up some images of horses running and this is what I ended up with. had to change one of her hind legs in positioning during the process, but I think it looks fine in the end and I am pleased with the overall image^^ Rainbow Dash might look a bit weird but as I said, she already is a little esxhausted after nearly hours of training behind her XD

For inspiration, I chose my local gym when it comes to the environment and they have a row of treadmills at the end of the hall, close to the wall with big inspiring canvases hanging around. Alrighty, that's about it^^ I really hope you like this drawing, guys, it's been fun for me and let's hope there will be more of these in the future :) And let's hope Spitfire and Rainbow Dash might get together at some point^^
