Hello everyone,

when I had a bit of free space and found that I could lighten up the mood a bit, I took the time to paint my dear :iconsnoopystallion: a little funny portrait in hopes of making him smile :)

You see, as he is my companion working on the Comic Sins series, I thought "Why not give him a sweet artist kinda look?" - you know, pretty clicheed and such, giving him the basken hat and a pencil he might be working with^^ Aside from that however, I wanted him to look pretty critical since he is the one telling me when something's odd with my drawings and helping me find solutions when I accidentally made mistakes in an image. Snoopy is my biggest critic and yet the biggest inspiration and help :D

In this piece, I wanted to work with contrast rich colours such as orange and blue - not only because it's a wonderful colour scheme to work with as both colours look beautiful and vibrant, but also because they belong to his favourite colours. I figured shades of blue would suit him very well, adding an orange background with an overall paint-like texture to go along with it. It sure was fun to work on, really enjoyed it :D

It's not a piece with the deepest meaning and I know Snoopy isn't all that sure about this painting since he doesn't think he could be an artist after all, but for me since he is the one mostly coming up with funny ideas/concept for images and doing most of the work for them, I do call him an artist and he has gotten better in technique and style over the time. As for what I can recall, a few people also really love his colouring work and I'm grateful that he's working together with me on our cute little series. Thank you, my love :heart::huggle:
