Media Studies - Self expression

Hello everyone,

this piece for my Media Studies series is a really uplifting, a really positive one since it shows the understanding and support of individuals on the internet.

Now with the internet, people have the chance to create an own account on websites like twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and Tumblr - I don't know if Facebook is still a thing though - on which they can become a more or less well known user by bringing out enjoyable content and entertaining/interesting posts for people to enjoy. Through shares, favs and follows, they grow and gain people who got their back, people who support them and like the person behind it. And you don't even have to be famous for that because positivity can be spread among everyone - especially on the internet as it is one of the fastest ways.

If you like, you have the chance to express yourself in any way you want and I bet many people just act the way they truly are. Which means you can express yourself and others may even enjoy it and help you grow - not only followers but self confidence.

I can tell first hand that it is one of the richest things internet has given us - to be able and help each other become more confident and smile from time to time, receiving understanding and caring words when we don't expect them. Keep it in mind, folks <3

I really hope you like this drawing, I can tell I enjoy doing these^^

Comments

It's a situation not too unrealistic and yet kind of rare ;) I've seen content creators indeed talking about their problems online and receiving a fair amount of supporting, understanding comments from followers and friends. So it's indeed possible and a wonderful thing when it occures. Thank you very much for your kind words, I appreciate them very much Taily *hug*

i know this is more of a hypothetical situation but it's kinda unrealistic and realistic at the same time, meaning the dialogue portrayed here reminds me of one of those educational videos that feels kinda faked out xD regardless this is a nice lesson and encouraging piece/ study. When it seems no one has your back irl, it feels like the internet is one of your only safe havens to get away from reality for a while. I too have experienced this pain, not as much to the extent of personal bullying, but being an outcast as a whole, life can be cruel, and as much as we want to change them, their mindset is set and we can't just do that ourselves
