Update: We found an error where some skulls were on top of trees in the Jungle River maps. Those have been fixed, and you can find them below.
I tell you what, after all the Down Among the Dead Kickstarter stuff, it feels GREAT to get back to making a good old battlemap!
A few weeks ago, in a feeble attempt to find a new nerdy hobby that I cannot turn into something work related, I started playing Magic the Gathering again for the first time in 30+ years. I figured I could get my wife into the new woodland creature Bloomborrow set, and I was right, but I was very wrong about not making it something related to Limithron. I blame it on the Pirate / Vampire Conquistador / Merfolk / Dinosaur setting known as Ixalan.
Fast forward to today, and I have a new blog/YouTube video I'm working about using MTG cards to generate D&D and RPG adventures, and wow am I excited about it. Based on the latest Map & Content Poll, you all want me to make more Pirate Borg short-form adventures, and I've used this new method to create an adventure in an underground cavern.
Of course, it needed a battle map, and since I'm now obsessed with The Lost Caverns of Ixalan and especially the card Cavern of Souls, I made one. I'll probably make the interior, too.
I hope you enjoy. I made way too many variations because I was having a blast. The adventure should be ready in the next week or so, so stay tuned for that.
